Therelationship between the characteristic of mother and the degree ofknowledge of pregnant mother about maternal and child health boos at independent practice midwives Mrs.S street doctor sutomo street Brebes regency in year 2014.
Mother and children are the groups that are most vulnerable to a variety
of health problems such as pain and impaired nutrient that often ended with death records. About 80-90% of maternal and child mortality can be simple technology with i.e. barring using maternal and child health handbook. When mothers and health workers to apply the informationlisted in the maternal and child health and the risk of high maternal and child mortality will be reduced. The research has aim to figure out Therelationship between the characteristic of mother and the degree ofknowledge of pregnant mother about maternal and child health books at independent practice midwives Mrs.S street doctor sutomo Brebes regency in year 2014.
The kind of research used is analytical description, sampling technique is accomplished by using totality sampling with 40 pregnant mother
samples.Collecting data uses primer and secondary data with data analysis in
univariat and bivariat, moreover, it’s analyzed by using chi square statistic test
using SPSS program 17.0 version.
The result of research can be concluded that is generally the knowledge of pregnat mother about mother and child is healthy towards pregnant mother is sufficient that is 31 people (77,5%). According to chi square statistic test, it is gotten result as following: aducation with score p=0,03, parity with value p=0,02 and work with value of p=0,03. This shows that there is a relationship between the characteristic of mother and the degree ofknowledge of pregnant mother about maternal and child health books at independent practice midwives Mrs.S street doctor sutomo street Brebes regency in year 2014.
From the analysis above, it is expected that medical officers aspecially midwife that exist in the village are able to increase socialization event dealing with mother and child is healthy on pregnant mother, so that the knowldge of mother will become much better.
