HUBUNGAN ANTARA KARAKTERISTIK IBU NIFAS DENGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN IBU NIFAS TENTANG PERAWATAN TALI PUSAT PADA BAYI BARU LAHIR DI DESA JANEGARA KECAMATAN JATIBARANG KABUPATEN BREBES TAHUN2014

Abstract

Umbilical cord cared is one of the neonatal care especially in the first two weeks  of  lifed.  Puerperium  (peurperium)  is  a  period  that  began  after  the placenta came out and ended when the tools like womb back to its original state (before pregnancy). Puerperal period lasted for approximately 6 weeksâ€. The purpose of this study known characteristics puerperal women on umbilical cord cared in newborns in the Village District of Jatibarang Janegara Brebes.

This study is a descriptive analytic design approach Correlational kendall

tau. The sampling technique used is total sampling. Sempel number as many as 13 respondents. The variables used are the independent variables of age, education and chants. And variaabel dependent puerperal women is knowledge about cord care in newborns. The instrument used was a questionnaire with statistical test using Kendall tau test. The data of this study using primary and secondary data.

The results of the study daari 13 respondents addressed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the level of knowledge of puerperal women by age with a two-sided test (2-tailed) gives the figure of 0,008 (Correlation = 0.624), there is a positive and significant relationship between the level of knowledge of puerperal women by parity with a two-sided test (2-tailed) result in figure 0.005 (Correlation = 0.683) in the village of puerperal women in the District Janegara Jatibarang Brebes 2014. It is hoped that the health personnel to provide information to the puerperal women about umbilical cord care in newborns.
